A Giggle And A Prayer for Louisiana...

Not a lot of giggling going on lately for some folks in the Baton Rouge, Louisiana area. Historic floods have displaced a lot of people and their pets! As a fur baby rescuer, I always have my hands full at home.  I often donate soaps, supplies, and money to our Arkansas communities from Giggle Me Green but, now it is time to give a helping hand to our Southern neighbor in need.

I'm not able to send supplies, however I have been checking on ways to help. Listed below are a few disaster relief organizations you also may want to check into. Support with what you are able, check all organizations for reliability, and make sure your donation counts!

  1.  Salvation Army National Corp Gulf Coast Flood 2016
  2. Humane Society of Louisiana
  3. Volunteer Louisiana
  4. Second Harvest Food Bank of Greater New Orleans and Acadiana
And, just in case you have not giggled today...

NLRWC Annual Membership Tea 1:00 p.m. August 1, 2016

The NLRWClubhouse will soon be buzzing and we hope you will be there! Each year in August we have a delightful membership tea with plenty of home baked goodies and beverages. It is a time for members to reconnect and excitedly meet new people from the area. This year is no exception and we look forward to seeing all of our members, sustaining members, and welcomed guests!

Our member, Dr. Diana Glaze, a past NLRWC President and present President Elect of GFWC of Arkansas, will give us an inside view of some of the wonderful programs our GFWC club has to offer. These platforms are very beneficial to our local community as well as our state, nation, and global neighbors.

Please contact Dianne Hocut at the CONTACT INFORMATION (to the right of this post) if you are interested in attending the tea or learning more about our club. Thank you for dropping by and comments below are always appreciated!
